Michelle's Experience Learning Abroad with Qanaateer

Hello!
My name is Michelle, I am 20 years old and I live in Spain, but I am originally from Germany. I’ve always liked traveling and studying languages and I was super interested in going to Saudi Arabia and thanks to Qanateer, I had a wonderful journey in Jeddah.

I had such a great experience and I especially have to thank Hadeel for that. The school is super well organized and focuses on every student and their level. I’ve learned a lot in the short time I was there, so I will continue online now, because I really enjoy studying with all the teachers of Qanateer. Among other things every teacher really cares about their students. If it’s about studying, about activities the school offers, what to do in the free time or how to arrive to the school and how to come back home. I appreciated this welcoming and safe feeling everybody gave me there.
So if you think to start your travel journey in Jeddah with Qanateer, I highly recommend it!
Places I’ve visited in Jeddah and liked a lot were Al-Balad, the floating mosque, the malls (for example the Red Sea mall) and the beach. The school offers some trips for example to go to Al-Balad, which you should absolutely do! In general the activities they offer (Movie and Game night, Traditional Cooking, etc.). I enjoyed it a lot!
Some other things I want to mention;
Unfortunately I haven’t started my vacation that good, so I want to give you some tips on what to do and what you shouldn’t do from the perspective of a woman traveling alone.
When you arrive at the airport there will be lots of people asking you if you need a ride. Most of them aren’t official taxi drivers, so you shouldn’t go with them. I did this ,mistake’ and had a bad experience. The locals recommend taking Uber and I also recommend it. I used it a few times and for me it worked good.
Jeddah in general isn’t a city were people walk much, so it will be way easier to rent a car or take an Uber. I walked a lot which put lots of attention on me.
If you pay attention to that you don’t have to worry!!
I hope you guys will have the same amazing experience with Hadeel and Qanaateer, but I'm more than sure about that!
